If you can get your hands on\u00a0potato bread then I highly recommend using it for this recipe. And just plain eating it, too \u2013 it\u2019s heavenly!<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t be discouraged if you can\u2019t find it; you can use another type of bread instead, and the recipe will still be a great success.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I add a little bit of chili sauce as well \u2013 just to add some extra kick. I love serving this meatloaf with either mashed potatoes or beautifully crunchy potato wedges.<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, garlic, and onion.<\/p>\n

Tear the bread into small pieces and add to beef mixture.<\/p>\n

Add the milk, Worcestershire sauce, sage, salt, mustard, pepper and egg to the beef mixture. Mix until the ingredients are well integrated.<\/p>\n

Place the beef mixture in an ungreased baking pan. Shape into an 8\u00d74-inch loaf in the pan, then spread the ketchup over the top.<\/p>\n

Bake uncovered 50 to 60 minutes until meat and juices are no longer pink or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 160\u00b0F and center of loaf is no longer pink. Let loaf sit for 5 minutes. Remove loaf from pan and cut into slices. Serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
