• 1 c. unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • eggs
  • 3/4 c. well-mashed ripe banana {about 2 medium-sized bananas}
  • 2 ¼ c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy; about 2 to 3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in mashed banana.
  3. Gradually add flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.
  4. Chill dough for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Drop approximately one tablespoon of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake at 375℉ for 9-10 minutes until the edges look set. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes then carefully remove to cooling racks to cool completely.
